2 / the principle of air compressor

There are many types of air compressors. Next we mainly introduce the screw air compressors. Which  is engaged by two rotors with spiral gears.   The gas volume of the two rotors is greatly reduced, so that the gas is compressed and discharged. Generally The common large and medium air compressors are  screw air pressure or piston air compressor; when working, there is a motor that drives the screw or piston to inflate the pressure tank. When the pressure of the cylinder reaches the set value, the clutch presses the air, the motor idles and stops the compressed air; The way of working brings the following problems:

A. the motor is idling due to the frequently unloading motor , resulting in a large amount of waste of electrical energy, which is easy to impact the power grid, causing an open trip, etc.

B. The range of export pressure fluctuation is large, which affects the performance and working efficiency of pneumatic equipment.

C, equipment wear is large,   reducing the service life

3, VFD design requirements

A, VFD selection:

TORRIVE universal VFD

B, other accessories:

Remote pressure gauge or pressure transmitter, several cables

C. The pressure fluctuation  does not exceed plus or minus 0.02Mpa  after the redesign

D. According to customer requirements, the system is designed to be

variable frequency control or industrial frequency conversion control.

E. Under the condition that the air consumption is small, when the VFD  is running at low frequency, the motor temperature and motor noise should not exceed the allowable range.

4, the transformation effect

A.  generally,  The energy saving effect of air compressor can reach 20%-30%, which has practical significance for energy saving and emission reduction.

B, reduce operating costs

C, improve pressure control accuracy

D, extend the service life of the compressor

E. Air compressor noise generally  should be decreased  by about 10 decibels
